Safe Care for Childbearing Women and Newborn Infants with Complications The aim of this module is to enable you to develop your knowledge and understanding of pre-existing, current and emerging complications that affect women. You will gain the knowledge and critical understanding of the complications of pregnancy to enable you to give safe effective care to childbearing women, newborn infants and their families. This care will be based on a sound understanding of both the physiology/ pathophysiology and any pharmacological interventions that are required.
